Clive cussler is back with a stand-alone novel that “cranks up a head of steam and some high speed thrills.”(Publishers Weekly)
A no- nonsense detective is on the trail of the sharpest and deadliest criminal mind he has ever encountered: a serial robber who murders any and all witnesses in cold-blood.

Customer Rating: Summary: Cussler rates #1 - again! Comment: Clive Cussler is my favorite author. The Chase is right up there with the best of them, even though it is not a NUMA theme. Get over it, it's still great!
Customer Rating: Summary: Cussler at his best Comment: Great book and has great characters and enough linkage to actual history to make it a great read.
Customer Rating: Summary: Cussler's best in years....and different from the rest Comment: This is one of Clive Cussler's best books to date. Perhaps it is because it strays from the NUMA formula, and the predictable characters. Perhaps its because the books is steeped with well-researched historical fact. Perhaps its the fast pacing and fun "chase"....but overall, it's his most enjoyable books in years.
I couldn't put the book down -- well paced, fast-flowing, with interesting characters.
Sure, it feels like a rehash of a "Wild WIld West" episode -- but it's fabulous fun at that.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fast paced, entertaining detective novel Comment: Great classic detective novel. Amazing detail in the character descriptions. I can't wait to see Clive write another novel starring Issac Bell!
Customer Rating: Summary: Hesitant at first Comment: I was hesitant at first since this book was not the type that Cussler usually writes about but once I started reading it, it was hard to put down.
