Editorial Reviews:

The fundamental aspects of Kapap, the martial arts system developed and utilized by Israeli special forces, are detailed in this handy manual. The defensive tactics, hand-to-hand combat moves, and self-defense methods that compose Kapap are all detailed, with special sections covering striking, grappling, pressure points, and weapon defense. Instructions are also provided for incorporating basic Kapap training methods and techniques into preexisting workout routines.

Summary: Cashing in on Krav Maga popularity done poorly
Comment: Apparently, Kapap is an old acronym for Israeli hand-to-hand fighting
so the authors of this book use that term to claim what they're offering predates Krav Maga. And then they proceed to offer a few tidbits of combat principles, Brazilian jujitsu and recycled Krav Maga - none of which is apparently related to the original "kapap" - and do a mediocre job of it.
Disappointing.
Amazon carries much better books on Krav Maga and on Brazilian jujitsu - go to the search bar and look them up rather than spend your money on this one.

Summary: kapap concepts
Comment: As a practising kapap practitioner I found the book particularly useful. It is easy to read, well structured and would be an ideal introduction for those looking to take up kapap or those who simply wish to incorporate the concepts into their own martial arts training

Summary: Kapap Combat Concepts: Martial Arts of the Israeli Special Forces
Comment: I, too, have had the pleasure of training with Mr. Nardia. This book is an excellant review of the great wealth of knowledge that he, and Kapap, offer. I have been in the martial world for over 32 years and I can say that I highly recommend this book to any one interested in Kapap.

Summary: a great look @ KAPAP Concepts
Comment: Avi Nardia has tackled a hard job with his usual ease. Teaching self defense and close range combatives usually degenerates into specific techniques that usually don't fit the situations. Avi has broken CRC into conceptual nuggets: and with illustrations has found a way to teach, demonstrate and convey these ideas through the written word to others. The book might look a bit simplistic at first glance but its because it contains broad concepts of use to give one better tools in ones tool box of self defense and Close Range Combat. I teach CRC and martial arts and I think anyone buying this book will be pleasantly surprised and appreciative of what Avi has brought to the table.

Summary: Very Good
Comment: My name is Jason Goldwasser,
I have been involved in martial arts for over 20 years and have been around the gamete of instructional video's and books. Many of these instructionals try to sell you a magic bullet for any situation. I found that this book was quite opposite. This book clearly presented up front, the truth about weapon combat. This book clearly explains the theory and philosophy of Kapap and weapon combat. For once in martial arts the author of this book was completely honest and realistic. I found this refreshing. This book definitely increases your knowledge of the subject matter while giving you a no nonsense view of things. If your looking for a magic bullet, give me a call and I have some swamp land to sell to you, if your looking for truth, buy this book.
