The history of Jiu Jitsu is traced back to 20 BC and forward to 1882 when Kodokan Judo came into being. The author, Dennis Helm, served as the Historian of the United States Judo Federation from 1969 to 1989. The material took 20 years to research, bring together, and the next decade was needed to develop the information into a meaningful readable text. As Judo moved accross the United States this movement is covered in great depth. This is a 328 page book.
