Continuing to tell the illustrious history of the greatest team of 30th century heroes, LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ARCHIVES VOL. 9 is a presentation of classic and imaginative cosmic adventures. Reprinting stellar tales of bravery and heroism from the late 1960's, this provocative book presents the trials and hardships that the Legion experience as they endure the obstacles of maturation and the awkwardness of new relationships. But even as they persevere through the ordinary, everyday issues of late adolescence, the Legion must find a way to focus and survive as their greatest adversaries, the Fatal Five, launch an all-out assault against them.

Customer Rating: Summary: A Bad Period for the Legion Comment: I thought that this was an average collection, but it is a keeper because it shows the end of the first era of the Legion of Super-Heroes. After the tales in this book, the Legion was stuck with backup stories and reprints for several years. Many of the creators who made the Legion so popular left. Jim Shooter stopped regularly writing and worst of all, Curt Swan stopped. It is an important book, and I suggest you buy it if you have the first 8 volumes.
