A guide to nourishing the body through bone marrow rejuvenation exercises
? Presents exercises to ?regrow? bone marrow, revive the internal organs, and prevent osteoporosis
? Explains the use of bone breathing and bone compression, ?hitting? to detoxify the body, and sexual energy massage and chi weight lifting to enhance the life force within
Most Westerners believe that a daily physical exercise program helps slow the aging process. Yet those whose bodies appear most physically fit on the outside often enjoy only the same life span as the average nonathletic person. It is the internal organs and glands that nourish every function of the body, and it is the bone marrow that nourishes and rejuvenates the organs and glands through the production of blood. By focusing only on the muscles without cultivating the internal organs, bones, and blood, the Western fitness regimen can ultimately exhaust the internal system.
In Bone Marrow Nei Kung Master Mantak Chia reveals the ancient mental and physical Taoist techniques used to ?regrow? bone marrow, strengthen the bones, and rejuvenate the organs and glands. An advanced practice of Iron Shirt Chi Kung, Bone Marrow Nei Kung was developed as a way to attain the ?steel body? coveted in the fields of Chinese medicine and martial arts. This method of absorbing energy into the bones revives the bone marrow and reverses the effects of aging through the techniques of bone breathing, bone compression, and sexual energy massage, which stimulates the hormonal production that helps prevent osteoporosis. Also included is extensive information on chi weight lifting and the practice of ?hitting? to detoxify the body.
Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Old Ancient Western Adage: The Proof is in The Pudding Comment: For thousands of years the "Ancient Masters" were able to get by with "We can't prove it through the scientific method, but try it out and, if you conscientiously follow all the instructions, you may well become a believer".
But this is the twenty-first century. If it works, you can demonstrate that it does.
If there is an energy, called Chi (pronounced chee), then get out the chiometer and let's see it traveling around the "Microcosmic Orbit" in the body. Let's see the "chi-ball" being pushed from the head to the belly button. If organs "overheat" because they've accumulated too much chi, there are thermal devices which can measure that. It's simply time they "put our science where their Chi is".
Let's see a test a group of people, with compromised bone marrow production, increase their red and white blood cell counts after practicing these methods - as compared with a control group who's members do nothing.
Before people are offered procedures which some might consider rather bizarre, and which are also potentially dangerous, they deserve far more than mystical revelations from the Masters.
It's true there are many ways in which the mind can heal or hurt the body. If that's what this is, then call it so. Say "Imagine the energy flowing... etc." rather than speak of it as being physical and tangible.
I don't normally write such negative reviews, nor am I against Eastern discoveries (I studied Judo), but a bone marrow problem is often a heartbreaking diagnosis, since Western medicine has a long way to go in that field. Giving false hope to such patients is, to put it as mildly as possible, unfair.
Customer Rating: Summary: Mantak Chia at his best (as always) Comment: I have a number of Mantak Chia's books and DVD's. As always, this book is no exception to this Master's ability to explain in detail the methods of practice involved in perfecting his art. Thanks to Masters like Mantak Chia, the practices of Taoism are available to the world. Thankyou.
