Summary: Disappointing
Comment: This TPB is mainly meant for kids, but I wouldn't let my kids read it since it isn't even somewhat intellectual. The artwork resembles the new cartoon that is on Fox Kids, but I didn't like the artwork either. I'm a fan of the older comic books and artwork. And the story is just too simplistic and boring. I expected more of an interesting and intellectual read. Just because the material is about ninja turtles doesn't mean you have to dumb it down. But like I said, I wouldn't want my five year old reading it because it wouldn't teach him a single thing. The characters personalities are taken to the extreme and their intelligence is decreased. I don't know why. Michaelangelo comes off as a total idiot instead of a fun-loving party dude. Same applies to other characters. The artwork also seems to be too brightened or faded. The colors aren't dark and deep like they should be. However, this book does collect all of the second set of comic books, #6 to #10.
