Summary: Informative for the dojo but a little bit bull ____.
Comment: If you are interested in learning a martial art that a lot of cops use this book is for you. Its pictures and instructions are very informative if you are going to a Miyama Ryu dojo. However this book contains a lot of stories about student who applied this martial art on the street to hype the modern Kombato. These stories are very obviously bull ___. As a martial artist I find these stories very laughable. Having been in a slew of street fights I find the supposed fight choreography very funny. Bruce Lee should take notes from these guys who supposedly dispatch multiple attackers within seconds. From my experience with multiple attackers it's not quite so easy to throw someone if they are trying to not be thrown. When you do throw them even on concrete they are going to get back up and come at you again. This book claims that if someone gets thrown onto the concrete they will not get back up. I suggest these fibbers all get drunk and go look for some bar fights. So that in a second edition they can give us some realistic fight choreography. Again though this is a good manual if you want to practice Miyama Ryu in a dojo. Just don't swallow the Bull ____.

Also very highly recommended is the companion "how to" instructional manual for students of the Miyama Ryu martial arts is D'Arcy Rahming's Secrets Of Advanced Combat Jujutsu: 3rd Edition.
