Customer Rating: Summary: But What Are you going to do???? Comment: Yes - most everything (can) happen that people have said. But what I do, is throw away any tape that causes me problems - granted I very seldom need to rewind "movie" tapes (I belong to Netflix). But all I can say is - it CLEANS the tapes - how well? Well - Your guess is as good as mine - but my VCR machines are so worn out that keeping them clean is top priority...
So in closing - I've already ordered another - sure I would rather buy something else - but CLEANING is cleaning.... Sometimes in life you gotta learn to live with a problem (you know what I mean jellybean?). So for now (knock on wood) everything seems to be OK, by tossing the tapes that cause the problem... The worst of it all is when the tape comes out of the "VCR tape" because it rewinds so fast (or strong)... I don't throw those tapes away - I just hope it doesn't happen again and mix the tape back in with all the others (and wait and see)... Customer Rating: Summary: Kinyo VHS Tape Rewinder Comment: There are a lot of rewinders out there. I have tried several of them. So far the Kinyo rewinder has preformed the best. Very fast with slowing when getting close to the end when either ff or rewinding. Also very quite when winding tape, also cleans while rewinding. It also includes 2 extra spools for cleaning for when the first one wears out. Customer Rating: Summary: A good Choice Comment: When I first received this product, I waasn't sure how it worked and so I was ready to send it back. The directions were worthless. But I continued to use it and now I am glad that I bought it. I use it every time I need to rewind a tape. Customer Rating: Summary: Be careful ! Comment: STRONG rewind on this product. Sometimes (more often then not) it rewinds to far and you have to rewind the overwind. Bought two at the same time, If I had to do it over again I would have bought another kind. There were several available. I selected the Kinyo UV-230C 2-Way VHS Cassette Rewinder and Cleaner for purchase, I received it and have used the product several times. I am very satisfied with this product.
