Summary: Awesome game
Comment: This game is excellent, especially for those who don't care much for FPS.

I would encourage interested parties to check out ebay for the game though, since Amazon and its legions tend to charge a premium (and I love Amazon). There are a few vendors on Ebay that specialize in low/no postage, brand new vintage games. Anyway, if you're keen to save a little bread.

Summary: One Of The Best
Comment: First and foremost this is a Role Playing Game. There are two types of rpg's.Japanese Role Playing game witch is made with heavy japanese influence, such as Final Fantasy 7,8,9,Skies Of Arcadia and so on.Then there are Western Role playing games and thats games like NeverWinter nights, fallout,Morrowind and of course one of the greats of all time, This game Baldur's Gate 2.

You play from a top down slanted camera view.It is old school 2-d.Not bad for old school 2-d though. This game can be a little complicated to learn though, and although it does have lots of character customization options its still old and doesn't have a character creation system as deep as NeverWinter Nights,KOTOR,Morrowind and so on.

You have the choice when starting to go through the tutorial witch helps out alot. You will create your character, starting with gender, then you will roll dice for stats, and pick your class. You then are launched into a really cool fantasy D and D story, like conan or lord of the rings. You will get to make choices that affect how people look at you and can be good, bad or somewhere in between. The story is one of the bests and is why I highly recommend this game. With the expansion you will become enthralled
with it and it can keep you busy for a long long time. Its worth it to be sure.

Also if you like this then you should check out one of these. These are my favorite RPG's of all time!
1 Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic pc/x-box : WRPG
2 The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind PC/X-box : WRPG
3 Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic 2 PC/X-Box : WRPG
4 Final Fantasy 7 PS1 : JRPG
5 Final Fantasy 12 PS2 : JRPG
6 The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion PC/X-box 360/PS 3 : WRPG
7 Skies Of Arcadia Dreamcast/Gamecube : JRPG
8 Fallout PC : WRPG
9 NeverWinter Nights PC : WRPG
10 Chrono Cross PS 1 : JRPG

Thats my top 10 and by the way JRPG stands for japanese role playing game and WRPG stands for Western Role Playing Game. They both have RPG elements but also greatly differ from each other.

Summary: Give it a shot.
Comment: The richest dialogue and perhaps the best story and plot in gaming yet. Even though everything from the level design to the archaic combat system is badly dated, this game still manages to draw you in for simply being the greatest experience in writing the gaming industry has produced. Every designer, writer, or anyone needing to hone some dialogue skills needs to play this through. In fact it's so amazing, it beats most literary works. Bottomline: Baldur's Gate 2, after all these years, still remains the gold standard for Role Playing Games.

Summary: So good I bought it TWICE!
Comment: After my original disks were lost, I ordered this again.

I cannot stress enough this fact; that if you're a fan of RPGs, this is one the best games you will ever play, even considering its age.

We'll see how things fair after the EA takeover, but as of now I would swear by any roleplaying game with the Bioware name on it. These guys make quality RPGs, period. Throne of Bhaal is no exception. Epic Story, and gobs of replay value.

Comment: Me and my husband had tons of fun with this game, we got a copy for each of our computers and played the adventure together as a team. The graphics aren't the best but the story is good enough to keep me interested and the fun-meter was at the top of the chart.
