Editorial Reviews:

England is a land well suited to dairy farming. Its territory is relatively flat, thus good for grazing, and it has plenty of rainfall. This country produces over 500 distinct types of cheese, including the four we are featuring in this English Cheese Assortment. Coombe Farm Cheddar - Arguably the world's most famous cheese name, Cheddar is an authentic English cheese that has been copied all over the world. If you have never tasted authentic English Farmhouse Cheddar, you are in for a wonderful surprise. Royal Blue Stilton - How could such an assortment not include England's beloved blue cheese? Creamy, tangy and eminently satisfying, our Royal Blue Stilton is perfect as a snacking cheese or as an ingredient. Sage Derby - Don't be afraid of the green! Pulverized sage leaves are mixed with water then added to the curd of Derby cheese to create this striking example of English cheesemaking ingenuity. Mild and herbaceous, Sage Derby is the ultimate party cheese. Crumbly Lancashire - This ancient cheese, like many other British classics, is dry and crumbly. It is made from rich, full-fat cow's milk and aged for only 60 days before it is packaged and sent across the Atlantic to our shores. It is a mild, fresh-tasting cheese that is one of England's best kept secrets.Assortment includes four 1/2 pound cuts of cheese. Summary: Ok
Comment: Finally
The order arrived late! with only two out of nine cheeses ordered.
called, waited on hold and spoke to various people. The entire order should have weighed at least 5 pound with out box. The order that I got was marked as 2!
Finally 3 days later got the correct order.
Cheeses small and some from the rind.
Could buy better at Whole Foods.
Not again

Summary: Great cheese, dangerous delivery!
Comment: I would have rated the product 5 stars had it arrived in good shape, but the ice pack was completely thawed and the cheese was warm. The plastic wrapping was puffed up from the warmth. They explained that that was okay with cheese, unless it smelled of ammonia. Not nearly good enough to pay that much for. Never again!

Summary: A happy Brit
Comment: I bought this as a Christmas gift for my British husband who is always complaining about American cheeses. The staff at igormet were very accommodating. I ordered it in November and asked that they hold off on shipping until mid-December which they did. It arrived before Christmas.

Summary: ploughman's lunch cheeses
Comment: I'm from England (so maybe I am slightly prejudiced) but these cheeses are simply wonderful! The quality and flavour are sublime! Enjoy them any way but it's nice to have what we call a "ploughman's lunch" in England which is fresh, crusty bread (maybe a baguette) butter, cheese, pickled onions, a little fruit (grapes) and maybe some cider to wash it all down. Heavenly! Enjoy!
