Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: DVD region and language problems Comment: The DVD claims to be multiregional; however the DVD would only work on one of my 4 DVD players. The DVD was made in France and the one DVD player that it worked on was manufactured in France, according to my owners manual. Eventhough the DVD has four language tracks, the menu is mainly in French. If you can't read French this could be a problem; however, you could make your own menu on an index card and keep it with the DVD. Just set the language to English and access every menu item. Then write down the English description that is spoken when you access the menu item. The aikido is more of a demonstration then an instructional video. I initially returned the video and Amazon sent a replacement that was supposed to be region 1, however it was multiregion and also played on only the same DVD player, made in France. I kept the second copy of the video because with all of it's shortcomings, It had some interesting concepts that I wanted to learn more about. For more detailed instruction I would recommend "Aikido Self Defense for the Modern Warrior" a 3 Vol Set by David Dye. More Reviews
