Editorial Reviews:

Clinique's automatic eye pencil twists up. Glides on. Smudges to a smooth blur of colour. Silky formula slinks on lining, defining, with the greatest of ease.

Summary: I am a make up nightmare, but I can make this work!
Comment: I have never been a girly girl, but now that I'm out in the working world I have found that makeup is a bit of a necessity. As a warning for those reading this review - I am terrible at applying makeup.

So here is my review - this little thing is perfect for me. I don't need a sharpener, when I need more I just twist the little top and voila! there's more! They were even nice enough to make the tube clear so that I have fair warning before running out. I personally use the mocha brown color and it looks great, even when I get a little heavy handed, it's never too dark to be upsetting to me. Now the other end has a lovely little spongey thing on it, which my friends tell me is for "smudging." Now this is not anything that I have ever attempted, but it does work great for when I can't trace and end up with lines that don't quite end up where they belong. I consider it my magical eraser.

I have now been using this eyeliner for over 3 years and I won't change until someone comes up with something that applies itself. I use it every workday and each one lasts me about 2-3 months. I highly recommend this eyeliner.

Summary: A Must-Have Beauty Staple
Comment: This one item that I always have to have in my make-up - I have the quickliners in black, smoky brown and dark chocolate at all times. It goes on incredibly smooth, it's easy to make a neat line or smudge it with the sponge tip for a smoky look. It's also perfect for lining alongside the lower lash line since it doesn't crease and run like many other liners. Smoky brown is my favorite color - it's sexy, but simple and instantly polishes your look.

Summary: I love this eyeliner.
Comment: I love this. It goes on really smoothly, and the smudging side is handy when you've applied it a little too heavily and want it lighter. If you're looking for black or dark brown, violet would also be an option. When applied it looks exactly like dark brown; by the way, I have asian/ golden skin and black eyes and it looks really natural on it.

Summary: Easy to Use, Fantastic Results
Comment: If you're after smooth, smokey and dusky lines when you apply your eyeliner, this just might be the product for you. Probably the easiest eyeliner to apply ever, Clinique has a rich-toned, wide variety of colors to choose from in this line. I myself have always used the blue grey color, and just recently have tried the true khaki, both which work well with my blue eyes. The blue grey is not the darkest blue they have, nor the lightest, but a nice middle of the road if you're wanting a blue. Dark enough to help your eyes "pop", light enough to keep from appearing garish. The true khaki was a pleasant surprise and definitely has that smokey quality down. In the tube, it looks like a subtle gold, but once placed on the skin its smoky quality comes out and really adds an alluring, glam quality some might find more appropriate for a night on the town. Whichever color you choose, the consistency can't be beat by any other liner I've tried, including Clinique's other choices. One of these will last me roughly two to three months, but then I'm not usually wearing it on the weekends. Originally these were packaged in a tube that didn't allow one to see when it was getting close to the nubby end, but now the shaft of the tube is see-through enough to allow this and what a relief that is. The best thing I love abut this product? It's so easy to apply, I don't feel like I'm about to gouge my eye out just to put it on. It's easy on the eye area, and that's a plus since the skin there is thinner and more susceptible to damage from our overzealous fingers when we apply makeup. So, light strokes. You can always apply more if it needs to be darker and wisp away and smooth with the blending wand at the other end if it needs to be lighter.
