Customer Rating: Summary: Mixed feelings in the beginning, but like it better now Comment: Initially, I was frustrated at the way the brush was packaged. The box is sealed, which is great, but then the brush is sealed into that intense plastic package, requiring scissors. I actually cut myself on the plastic trying to get it open. Why the crazy security? I liked the little rubber feet on the bottom of the charger preventing it from sliding, and I liked that fact that the "footprint" was so small. However, the first time I tried it I practically dropped it b/c the sensation was so intense and "buzzy" and that was a real turnoff. It was better the subsequent times. You definitely need to keep it in your mouth or at least don't pull it out lest toothpaste fly everywhere. I received this for free and was surprised at the cost, however. At least in the ad I saw, this was $99 and 2 replacement heads were $24? That strikes me as a bit much. I'm not sure if I would pay that much for this product if forced to buy it. I urge the company to please reduce the plastic -- its bad for the environment. It does clean my teeth very well and I like the angled head (though doubt it's required since I can bend my wrist). I still wiggle the brush around out of habit but like the clean feeling, esp. in the back regions of my mouth. At this point, I can't tell if my teeth are whiter or not. Seems like a questionable claim. Customer Rating: Summary: A must for dental hygiene enthusiasts Comment: I have been using Sonicare for years. My first model was the 'standard' Sonicare brush but this time around I decided to try the Elite series because I have short teeth and a small jaw. This tooth brush is great and ensures that I brush every surface of my teeth as it utilizes a smaller head. I am an avid coffee drinker and using this tooth brush reduces the amount of staining my teeth goes through vs. before I ever started using Sonicare years ago. I also have high blood pressure and my doctors always stress that the key to a good cardio system is to maintain good dental hygiene(check the internet for further information). It Works Wonderful, it doesn't have the features of the more expensive models but really you don't need them. Ill have this for years, i know this because my father has an older model from when they were brand new. Its still working but the battery is shot. I already recommended all the people that i care about to get one. Its the really clean feeling you get from this product that makes it great. Also, my teeth have never been whiter! So even though you may be skeptical about it's ability to help your teeth. Try it and you won't dread your visits to the dentist.
