Summary: snowshoes
Comment: Walks great, goes anywhere, but the clasps are made of plastic and weak. They can be replaced with metal ones. The frame has been sound.

Summary: Pacific Outdoors Subzero Snowshoe
Comment: I bought a pair of these for a winter camping trip and had problems the first trip out. Two of the buckles broke where the strap goes through the buckle. Other than the buckles, the snowshoes seem to be okay. I have purchased new buckles and will be replacing all buckles on the snowshoes. I only used them the one trip but will be using them again this winter. I bought them because they were reasonably priced and I don't do a lot of snowshoeing. If you buy these you will want to replace the plastic buckles with buckles of better quality.

Summary: great snowshoes
Comment: These are great little snow shoes, the floatability of them is fantastic. I weigh about 220, with gear, probably 230 and they performed great!

Summary: Not reliable
Comment: A plastic retaining clip broke the first time I used the shoes in the outdoors. Temp around 30 oF (0 oC). Not recommended.

Summary: Easy on and off
Comment: Three simple straps make a snug fit over toes and around the heel. Just pull to tighten and lift the buckle tabs to loosen. They come off easier than they go on. The ice-gripping teeth are well-placed (right in the middle)and very effective on glare ice. Pretty durably built, too. A good deal for the price.
