Editorial Reviews:

In this action-packed, edge-of-your-seat film, Jean-Claude Van Damme plays an official who's just been appointed as "Second in Command" to the U.S. Ambassador at an American Embassy in a small, turbulent Eastern European nation. When local insurgents attempt a coup d'etat, the nation's President takes refuge inside the embassy. The embassy is then besieged by the well-armed insurgents. The U.S. Ambassador is killed in the ensuing action, and now it's up to Van Damme and the embassy's small detachment of U.S. Marines to fend off the attackers.

Summary: hooks my attention but some scenes are implausible
Comment: Rating: A little bit above average, maybe 7 out of 10.

I think the love angle, a sub-plot, is unnecessary. It lacks spark and very much underdeveloped. I also find it implausible for the US not to reach the scene in less than 4 hours. Why don't they use stealth fighters or tomahawks??? Why only helicopters? In any case, the action part was still good and commands a 7 out of 10 for me.

Summary: Second Command Jean-Claude Van Damme
Comment: I saw this on TV. Hadn't seen this one before with Jean Claude. It looked good. I got this for my bosses birthday & they liked the movie. I have yet to watch but will soon. If you like Jean Claude movies my bosses said you will like this one.
Our goal is to watch every movie he has ever made. So far the ones we all have watched are good.

Summary: van-damme in command
Comment: This is a pretty good van-damme movie in my opinon, better than that other recent movie the hard corps which was fairly boring. This one had Lots of gunfights and explosions, not a good lot of martial arts but it certainly made up for the lack of story.

Summary: "Nonsense"
Comment: I am sorry I bought this film. Even the uniform of Van Damme was wrong.

Summary: Great Action Flick
Comment: Van Damme hits the screen yet again in this fast paced action thriller. The plot is your basic good vs evil. Van Damme is Former Navy SEAL Sam Keenen who has been posted in a peaceful European country that turns out to be not so peaceful. The countries recent Democratic vote for their leader is opposed by The Communist's of the Country. Soon it turns to rioting, than bloodshed and finally the US and Presidential Forces are being laid to siege in the US Embassy with reinforcement Hours away. Van Does a great job of playing a hard soldier and his accent is even explained(a first). a definate must see to any Van Damme or B-Movie Action Fan.
