Customer Rating: Summary: Great series Comment: Renegade is my favorite show from the 90's... its had everything.. the bikes, Hummer, the great scenery, music, women, and a following story line that kept you watching. Lamas was perfect as Raines as well as Sixkiller and Chey..
Renegade was one of those "Once in a lifetime" shows that was perfect for the times, the cast and the writer (Cannel) were perfect and its still run in syndication today. I love watching the episodes and it brings me back to a better time in my life..
The acting was subpar, but who cares? The music and the Harley made up for the poor acting..
Renegade will always be a
"Good time show" for me , as well as millions of others.
Customer Rating: Summary: Seasons #2 & 3: Still cruisin' along! Comment: The simple format of this show was actually a help for this show as opposed to making it look cheap, as in other low-budget syndicated shows of the era.
Basically a redux of the 'Lone Ranger' concept, a stranger rides into town on his steel 'horse', and with the help of his loyal Indian sidekick, helps out an individual who is getting no help from the local authorities, and rides out agian at the end, while the townsfolk all say "who was that masked man?"
It was a great concept 60 years ago, and its a great concept now. These are all just simple morality plays:All black and white concepts, Good vs. Evil. No 'shades of gray' to worry about. This is what gives these episodes a timeless ,ethereal feel about them.
Take the show with a grain of salt and try to ignore the obvious plot holes and discrepancies and just enjoy all the good looking actors having fun with the material. You'll dig it!
Customer Rating: Summary: The renegade series Comment: Renegade seasons 1 through 5, while light was very entertaining and I feel sure SOMEBODY has seasons 4 and 5 on some type of media. I have tried to purchase from Anchor Bay and no dice. I am now ready to get from whatever source. It makes no sense to end with season 3.
Customer Rating: Summary: Renegade - Seasons 2 and 3 Comment: Renegade is such a great series -- framed felon on the run who has the time and inclination to help others. Branscombe Richmond and Kathleen Kinmont make a great supporting cast. It's the old FUGITIVE program mixed with a motorcycle and bounty hunting.
Customer Rating: Summary: A USA Network modern classic (maybe) Comment: A very entertaining series. USA network did good with their 90's line up (with La Femme Nikita and Highlander syndication too). Yes, somewhat low budget i suppose, but the actors did well and the underlying story kept me watching. So glad to see these on DVD now, but I better see the last seasons on DVD too...
