Customer Rating: Summary: Finally a good badminton racquet Comment: Oh how many badminton rackets I have thrown away over the years; was certain they were all just junk. Nothing more frustrating than to be having a nice volley and Bam! the shuttlecock gets stuck in the webbing of the racket. Or worse, the holes become so big it goes right through! I finally bought two of these rackets and my daughter and I are having a blast playing the game. We actually tire out BEFORE the racket breaks! Good price too.
Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty good racket! Comment: I had not heard of this brand before, but I was willing to give it a try. Surprise! This racket is actually quite good (stiff and light), despite its low price. There is one thing quite peculiar. I bought this one which has a stated size of 10mm and another Halex racket of size 8.5mm. Comparing the two, the grip dimensions are EXACTLY the same! The 8.5mm model is $3 cheaper, but I'd reccommend this 10mm model, because it is an one-piece construction, rather than the 8.5mm model's multi-piece construction.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for the money Comment: I'm a beginning badminton player, though I played in high school which was decades ago.
I decided to get set up by buying one of each of the two rackets Amazon sold, and get a net, plus a pack of shuttlecocks.
Three weeks ago I set up the net and started playing. This racket has been fine. I think that the most difficult part of learning was getting used to where the head of the racket is. Its a quick game, quicker than tennis, and sometimes your shot is simply a reflex.
The racket has performed well and is tautly strung. I have since ordered a $[...] racket from another company and will compare the two when it arrives. Till then I play three games a day with this one and don't feel that it hurts my game. :-)
