Editorial Reviews:

The ASUS A626 perfectly combines versatility and style. This palm-sized marvel matches high quality with an impeccable standard of design and caters to the user's expectations for personal handheld accessories.Exceptionally slim at only 1.57 cm, the ASUS A626 really stands out from most of the other PDAs on the market. The casing is made of stainless steel and the whole PDA is less than 158g in weight. The 3.5" anti-glare touch screen completes the outlook of the A626 and provides the feeling of a solid and high quality luxury accessory. In situations where utilizing a notebook is more hassle than convenience, the A626 can really shine. With its wireless, it can keep the user connected to email, the Internet and corporate networks; while Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate speeds up data exchange with a huge range of digital peripherals (phones, printers, etc) by up to two to three times over conventional Bluetooth standards. With ASUS's user-friendly application "Remote Presenter", it can also be easily utilized to remotely link and control presentations on a computer via Bluetooth. The most important feature is the fact that all data is stored in Flash memory, so precious information remains saved even if all battery power in the handheld has drained away. The ASUS A626 runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, and also provides true multimedia entertainment options. With its front-mounted speakers, it plays video and audio formats and has a huge library of games available for the Pocket PC platform. For its size, the A626 is simply the most versatile mobile entertainment gadget. With the combination of powerful applications and an ultra-slim outlook that radiates high quality, the A626 is a PDA of choice for the well-heeled and well-traveled.

Summary: somewhat disappointed
Comment: I chose the product because of price and sometimes the new names might offer something good but this product dissapointed me. I bought it for use to syncronize my nursing drug book from my computer using window XP to the asus PDA but it will not work and the software that came with it will not load into my computer either. I called Asus for help and it was clear to me that the technical team are helpless and offers nothing but poor support. I wish to return it as soon as possible to amazon if there will not be a return fee or I will trash it. the only good thing about the PDA is the wifi but that is not why i need a PDA. so if you are buying for core PDA functions you will be disappointed. The product will not read flash card that has music files because it was not created by ASUS PDA.IT IS REALLY FUNNY. THIS THE ONLY THING I REGRET BUYING FROM AMAZON.

Summary: Great, little device.
Comment: Great screen, slim design, great battery. Have had for 3 months with zero problems. I got an Armor case for it, which is nice for protection. With a 4 GB SD card, I have no memory issues. This is a good buy.

Summary: Does everything and more
Comment: I bought this to have wifi internet access at free hotspots, without any monthly subscriptions. It does all I wanted and way more. In fact, I can't seem to find anything this unit does NOT do. With the addition of freeware software, I can watch full DVD movies, listen to streaming internet radio, watch online videos, process email, surf the web, download stuff, view PDFs, read eBooks, write music, RECORD music, play video games, view pictures, take notes, make actual phone call using SKYPE, annoy coworkers with a synthesized "Theremin", and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember at the moment... other than the beefy horsepower in my desktop, this little thing does nearly everything my big box does - and fits in my shirt pocket!

I have not had wifi speed issues I see mentioned here - yes, the "BARS" are low sometimes, but the wifi works great when you dial it up to 100%. Speed of processor seems fine too. It's a work tool to me, not a video game or CAD manipulator. Yet I play video games on it all the time. Using TCPMP it has NO PROBLEMS playing back full speed, full screen video/movies.

My level is advanced geekness so I have not feared pushing it past it's limits and am always suprised how well it handles everything. It does get "rebooted" every other day or so since it is Windows based and suffers like every other Windows of memory fragmentation, thus needing cleansed. The 16GB mem card I put in it works great.

Great unit - best power per price I could find - I highly recommend it

Summary: Great unit but compatiblity issue kills its name.
Comment: The ASUS MyPal A626 is one of the best Pocket PCs I have ever seen.

But unfortunately, neither Amazon.com's description nor the manufacturer's note did not explain that it doesn't work with Vista computers very well.

Although there is no problem recognizing the device and interact by putting files around, when it comes to synchronizing with Microsoft Outlook 2007, it does nothing.

Windows Mobile Device Center tells me that it has been synchronized, but I find no difference on the unit.

If someone knows a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate if you could contact me via Amazon.com
