Editorial Reviews:

The Homedics Therapist Select Shiatsu Massage Cushion is great for everyone who wants to get a thorough massage. This shiatsu massage cushion is like having your own personal message therapist in the privacy of your home! The State of the art traveling massage mechanism is similar to those found in very expensive massaging chairs. Dual massage heads spin in circular motions as they travel up and down your back and the 3 zone massage buttons can customize massage for the lower back, upper back or full back. On the hand control the demonstation buttons allows for instant, full back massage at the touch of a button. The SBM200H has a 100 percent PVC fabric which looks and feels like leather. No special chair is required because the Integrated strapping system allows cushion to be used in a variety of regular household chairs. Two Year Limited Manufacturers Warranty. Integrated strapping system allows cushion to be used in a variety of regular household type chairs; no special chair is required 12.5-foot cord Back dimensions - 19.5W x 3D x 26H Seat dimensions - 16.5W x 2D x 15H Shipping Weight (in pounds) - 16 Two Year Limited Manufacturers Warranty

Summary: Save your $$$ well over-priced
Comment: I originally bought this item from Target; took it home and immediately set-up my massager I was truly eager to test it out. Did not have any problems with set-up whatsoever. I mean come on here it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure things out. So, no didn't read any directions to get started.

Usage - the shiatsu balls does hurt!!! There is no easy way to put this.

CONS: I have read everyone complains about does not reach far enough for their shoulders well I am 5'3" so this did not apply to me at all, sorry. However, my problem is I have pains in my lower back and this was absolutely not the solution for this. I could NOT feel anything in the lower back area which was an absolute waste of my money. Now, I will say this for mid-back to upper back usage this item is for you.

Remote: lots of cons here. You cannot control the intensity which to me what is the point!! Was a little cheesy for the money. Bottom line I took it back and ordered a massager I had years before which only cost $30 and i love it. It travels all the way down to my thighs and the vibration is powerful enough for me to enjoy and guess what best part i have options as to how much intensity I want. I should have known never had any problems with the one I had before gave it away because was no longer using it so got bored with it so now i have another one and love it, love it!!!!!

Summary: Excellent for computer intensive jobs
Comment: I work a lot on a desktop computer and my back ends everyday very tense.
This cushion has been a great relief. Easy to use, and the combination of heat and massage is really great. I use it pemanently.

Summary: Homedics' best model
Comment: They're a nemesis, filling drawers, closets and spare boxes, and so imposing in their size, weight, and arcane specs that we feel compelled to hang on to them, even though we no longer have any idea what they're for. I'm speaking about the ubiquitous external power adapters that now come with dozens of applications--electric pianos, compact clock radios, useless Ronco buzzing seat vibrators--where at one time they weren't required. Out of sight was out of mind, and the equipment "seemed" to work without them. Six-connector power strips weren't consumed by a mere one or two space-robbing heavy hogs, pianos didn't fail because someone broke the thin wire connected to the adapter running the whole show.

It's time to declare war against wall warts. Throw the suckers out or use them as boat anchors. They're a cheap cop-out for most manufacturers, enabling the bypassing of sophisticated electronic circuitry as well as allowing the company to advertise their product as more "light-weight" than a former version, since they don't have to factor in the dead weight of these ludicrous sinkers.

Last year I purchased the Homedics deluxe model. It failed in six months, even though it still looks spanking new. Perhaps it's still under warranty, but who wants to pack it, insuring that the power adapter doesn't become a lethal flying object in the event of a mishap? Moreover, if it's repaired, what have I accomplished if I've still got the ugly squat turret to contend with?

I cut my losses on the more expensive Homedics shiatsu from last year and purchased the SBM-200H. No silly bottom buzzer, but also no power adapter! An impressive "return to progress." I expect this one to last me until next Christmas (though I pray the company doesn't decide to revert to the black blocks for the sake of a better profit line on the seasonal ledger sheet).

Summary: Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly Love this Massager, Some Liberals do too
Comment: I've heard Rush and Bill wax on about how much they love this massaging cushion. They like it so much, one almost has the impression they're massaging more than their egos when they're talking on the radio.

Anyway, liberal me gave the cushion a whirl and I have to tell you that it really does sooth those aches away. Those rollers go up and down and it feels oh so dreamy. I've tried the cushion on a straight backed kitchen chair, my TV watching recliner and even in the swivel chair I use when I'm online. The recliner is best, ah it just feels oh so good. Using it with a hard chair, that I didn't like, but on my office chair, oh girl, it's pretty neeto.
