With her action-packed Hollows series, featuring former bounty hunter--and mistress of the dark arts--Rachel Morgan, Kim Harrison has become one of the hottest authors in the incredibly popular genre of sexy supernaturalism. Summary: Oh for some editing
Comment: I like the world, I even like the lead Rachel, and I'm interested in how the various intertwined love lives will resolve - but this book needed a tough editor to do the following: rip out 200 pages of pap, get the tension back into Rachel's decisions between her male lover, and wannabe female lover, remove the obvious plot devices that were something of an insult to the reader, and get the fear factor back into things. Rachel deals so casually with demons that will take her soul, yet is more concerned about a glance at a taunt set of buttocks that when it happens, it grates, then irritates, then finally insults the reader. It could and should have been better than this!

Summary: WOW..This really sucked!!!!
Comment: This book was actually painful to read from the beginning, but I trodded on hoping it would get better. It didn't and that is why I am immediately going to return it. It wasn't just one facet of the story but everything...lesbian issues that are obviously not what the main character is into and add that with storylines that are introduced before the other storylines are even made clear. It was an uninteresting blur of plots, characters, and in the end..words.

Summary: Favorite of the series...so far!
Comment: This book was my favorite of the series so far. Their was a definite focus on Rachel's relationships, which I loved, and added to some really exciting as well as tender moments. The element of suspense kept me engrossed clear to the end, and a lot more questions were raised that leave me wanting to read the next in the series. The story took a much more serious turn that caused (and will continue to cause) a great deal of grief for some main characters. It added a great depth to Rachel's character and will make the rest of the series that much better. There were a few minor disappointments (I keep hoping Trent will pull his head out and change his murderous ways!), but overall this was by far my favorite book of the series. Loved it!

Summary: For A Few Demons More(The Hollows)
Comment: I can't say enough about this book or this series. It has wonderful characters, in a fascinating "alternate" world (the Hollows) that Kim Harrison has created. My only hope is she keeps on writing! I am impatiently waiting for the next book....
