LEGO Batman: The Videogame for PlayStation Portable is the latest video game release from the award-winning team behind the LEGO Star Wars series. With famous LEGO fun and charm, the game takes you into the world of Gotham City's ultimate crime-fighting hero. Here the one-and-only Caped Crusader comes to life in a completely original storyline that draws its frame of reference from everything from everything Batman from the classic DC comics to cartoons, the TV series, and the current blockbuster movie franchise. Become the Dark Knight | Gameplay In the game players will take control of the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin, to fight Gotham's City's most notorious criminals including The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Killer Croc and many more. These criminals have broken out of Arkham Asylum and are determined to wreak havoc on Gotham. As a twist on this players will also be able to explore their wicked side and fight their way through the game as the villains, experiencing the game from a completely different point of view with all-new criminal objectives. And in a nod to Batman's famous penchant for gadgets, the game comes loaded with a collection of high-tech suits, gadgets and cutting-edge vehicles. With these players will be able to step into the unique LEGO Batman universe to bring super villains to justice - or as the villains, to run amok in Gotham City. The choice is yours. Play Modes LEGO Batman: The Videogame allows players to move through the game in Story Mode from both the hero and villain sides, as well as replay any level in Freeplay Mode with any characters you've unlocked. Customer Rating: Summary: Lego Batman Comment: This game has been purchased as a Christmas gift. My kids played one at a friends and really wanted one of their own. It looks like a lot of fun.
Customer Rating: Summary: Here we go again... Comment: You'd figure that with two Lego Star Wars games and Lego Indiana Jones already under their belts, Travelers Tales' Lego games would be getting kind of stale. Well, you'd figure wrong. Lego Batman features everything that was enjoyable with the aforementioned games, and slaps the Batman license on it to boot. Playing as the Caped Crusader and his sidekick Robin, you traverse a Lego-fied Gotham City and take on the usual rogues gallery of baddies. Fans of the Batman comics will be happy to see plenty of familiar faces: Joker, Nightwing, Batgirl, Hush, Bane, and plenty more are all here for your amusement. If you've played any of the previous Lego-based games, you should already know what to expect here, as Lego Batman offers up plenty of funny and comical moments supplemented with tons of unlockables and bonus characters to boot. The game looks good and even offers Danny Elfman's classic Batman theme, rounding out the presentation. The only downsides to Lego Batman are the same flaws that were apparent in previous Lego games: the difficulty is simple to say the least, and the game isn't that long at all. Still, with the hordes of unlockables to find that will hold your attention and keep you playing for a while. All in all, Lego Batman is a fun and family friendly diversion that anyone can enjoy and easily pick up and play.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Game!! Comment: I got this game for my 11 year old son! He loves it! He also has Indiana Jones legos and Star Wars. He can't get enough of them!
Customer Rating: Summary: Lego Batman....... Comment: I hate to admit it but I loved my PS2 version of Lego Batman so much that I decided to get the portable version of it, for my PSP, to play on the go. It's the same addictive game so it didn't take me long to get caught up in it all over again. What I love most about Lego Batman is its' simple yet challenging gameplay, its' offbeat humor and the fact that it is the first 'fun' Batman game I've played in awhile.
The fact remains, though, that the problems that plagued the PS2 version remain intact with this version. Plus, there are a few new problems. First off, the game is too dark and your view of the action is pulled back considerably making it hard, at times, to figure out where certain things are in order to progress through the game. It would have been alot better if they pulled the camera in just a smidgen. Not unless you have the PS2 version or a walkthrough of the game, you'll be stumped trying to figure out what to do next. Second, there is alot of blurring on the screen when too much is going on onscreen- making things annoyingly disorienting. Thirdly, loading times for movie clips and certain aspects of the game is downright horrible.
Given all those flaws, Lego Batman still rocks and I highly recommend it to everyone...young or old. Lol, now I'm tempted to round up the other Lego games.
Customer Rating: Summary: AWESOME GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment: This game is so awesome I love all the lego games! I got this on my PSP and can't put it down as it is addictive! I wish they would make Starwars the Complete Saga for PSP as I would like to add this to my collection!
I sure hope they come out with more games like this one Superman would be cool!
