Customer Rating: Summary: not for the living room Comment: great workout, just not so good in the living room, as now i have to buy a new lamp.
Customer Rating: Summary: Forza: The Samurai Sword Workout Comment: I am an ex US Army Drill Instructor with over 24 years martial arts experience in several disciplines; I STILL found the workout enjoyable.
As it is described and demonstrated in the DVD, the workout is very demanding in the beginning - both in the coordination required to execute the moves and the physical demands it places on the participant - but, gets somewhat stale after several sessions. Overall, a good purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: Forza The samurai sword workoutA Comment: A MUST have workout...I had a problem with the DVD, but the company fixed my problem IMMEDIATELY....The workout is very different, its fun! You will get buff, it will kick your butt, I am purchasing more DVD's as gifts, this is a no risk purchase......you will have fun, you will SEE results. If your like me, you want to workout, dont have much time to hit the gym, want to see results from your effort, you will be happy with this purchase. Eric
Customer Rating: Summary: An interesting workout Comment: I like that this is a different exercise video. It gives me an excuse to swing a sword around and it gets me moving.
The issues I have are with the DVD itself. The chapter breaks appear to be random, so it's hard to pick up where you left off. The video quality is good, but the disc looks like the producers cut corners in the video to DVD transfer.
I would recommend this to someone who is bored with other exercise videos.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice change of pace Comment: This workout is a nice change of pace from the usual types of workouts available. Obviously, you will need a sword for the workout, but you could use whatever is available that is about the same length. Just be aware of the weight differences which will affect the intensity of the workout. I personally do not have the wooden sword and instead use my duty (police) expandable baton. Since the baton is lighter, I either use wrap around hand weights or do the workout one handed. Either way, it is a good workout, and for me it gets more "hands on" practice with a defensive tool I use at work. The workout is very rythmic and is easy to follow. I feel it has increased my grip strength, shoulder and arm strength. You will see this half way through your workout when gravity starts to take hold. My baton starts to get real heavy. Also, just remember whatever you use, make room for yourself as the overheads have wide arc movements. I enjoy it and look forward to her making a FORZA 2.
