January 13, 2008: A little bit of the 20 year-old (newly come of age) women’s division of the annual kyudo archery tournament at Sanjusangendo temple in Kyoto, Japan. The target is 60m/196’10″ away, and at this point 1m/3’3″ in diameter. If you listen closely, you can hear the Buddhist ceremony going on in the background.
