Competitor of the Year
Five-time World Champion Martial Artist Keith Cooke Hirabayashi is the
guiding light behind Champions Martial Arts. He brings over 20 years of
dedication and experience to the school.
For years, Hirabayashi was considered the man to beat on the national
and international martial arts tournament scene. He was named Weapons
Competitor of the Decade, thanks to his expertise with the staff, the
broadsword, and the three-sectional staff. He is a member of The Black
Belt Hall of Fame, The Inside Kung-Fu Hall of Fame, and The Fighter Hall
of Fame. In addition, he's been listed among the 100 Most Influential
Martial Artists of the Last Century by Black Belt magazine.
Not only an extremely accomplished martial artist, his impressive list
of achievements includes star turns in such films as "Mortal Kombat",
"Mortal Kombat II", "Beverly Hills Ninja," and "National
Security".
Known and loved by children all over the Westside as Mr. Cooke,
Hirabayashi brings a high level focus on character development to his

to excel in martial arts competitions of their own, as well as many other
aspects of their lives.
Keith and his artist/author wife, Suzanne, have one son, Jake.
