Cheick "Kongo" Guillaum Ouedraogo (born May
17, 1975 in Paris, France) is a heavyweight mixed martial artist
currently fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He currently
trains with Quinton Jackson and
Michael Bisping. Kongo has been
fighting in martial arts since he was 5 years old, following his brother
into Kendo and Karate.
Kongo entered into martial arts when he was
5 years old, learning Kendo and Karate. As he grew older, he would learn
to master Muay Thai and kickboxing and would also practice Greco-Roman
wrestling. At age 19, he would discover the Penchak Silat and would then
be coached by Charles Joussot and Franck Roppers
