Jeet Kune Do
Blackbelt Magazine's 2006 Man of the Year
Ted Wong was
Bruce Lee's last private student
and one of his closest friends. Bruce gave him the knowledge that was
the final stage of JKD development. It was Ted Wong that Bruce
considered to be his protege, according to Mito Ueyhara, another close
friend of Bruce's and the Owner of Black Belt Magazine.
Mr. Wong has lived his life practicing
the martial arts and has stayed true to Bruce's teaching exclusively
since the death of his Sifu. His level of skill is evidence to his many
years of hard training. It is said by many that no one other than Ted
Wong
Mr. Wong puts Bruce's teaching fully into
action. He is very well educated as to the strategies of many other
systems. It is obvious that he has done his research just as Bruce had.
He is a noble and educated man that
volunteers countless hours of his own time to continue educating martial
artists in the art of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. His goal has never been to profit
monetarily from his knowledge. Over the years he has only maintained a
few private students that he teaches in his own backyard.
