Editorial Reviews:

Sixteen of the best unsigned mixed martial artists compete for the ultimate prize - a six-figure contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization.

During the show, the competitors will take their training to a higher level. They will be brought to Las Vegas where the UFC has its National Training Center. For the next seven weeks the competitors will be under the strict supervision of two of the most successful and famous UFC fighters and trainers on the planet, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture and UFC Light Heavyweight #1 Contender Chuck Liddell.

The competitors will endure the most grueling training and intense pressure of their lives. They will train together, live together, and fight against each other inside and outside of the storied UFC Octagon. The men are split into two teams, Team Liddell and Team Couture. The two squads compete against each other within their weight classes to avoid elimination. At the end of each week, one fighter from each team must fight in the Octagon to avoid being kicked out of the UFC Training Center until only two remain in each weight division. In the end, The Ultimate Fighter will be decided by a competition match -- a head-to-head fight to the finish inside the Octagon.

Summary: This is better than American Idol!
Comment: This show is much better than that crappy show known as "American Idol". The reason why is, is because it shows the training and sacrifices that athleets have to go through, which ultimately led to their contracts in the UFC. If you really want to make it in Mixed Martial Arts, you have to sacrifice just about everything for your career. This show is highly recommended. Music shows like "American Idol are nothing compared to this show of "The Ultimate Fighter". That is why "Ultimate Fighter" is the #1 reality show in all of television entertainment.

Comment: If you missed Season 1 of UFC, this is a must watch. I'm a big UFC fan, and my son didnt get to see Season 1. I bought this, and we both watched it. It was very enjoyable, and recommend it to anyone who likes UFC

Summary: Reality tv show works out it's kinks. Still cool, esp. the end.
Comment: I like reality tv contest shows, and I like ultimate fighting, so this is a good mix for me. What's more, the payoff for watching the season (that is, the UFC final match) had a fight between two of the contestants that seemed truly historical.

Summary: Great
Comment: I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. He loves UFC and has gotten me hooked into it! The playback is great and it seems that there is much that is missed when UFC is played on Spike.

Summary: Our favorite so far
Comment: My husband and I have been watching TUF since season 3 or 4. I bought him TUF1 for Christmas this year and we watched it together.

While we didn't really like the challenges and could do without Willa Ford, we really enjoyed watching a season where the coaches had mutual respect for each other and got along. With a few exceptions, the guys seemed to respect each other and it was very cool to see how many of the season 1 fighters are now successful UFC fighters. We're really looking forward to seeing Forrest Griffing coach in TUF this season!
