A lot of the internal styles can be explained without resorting to qi. Internal styles tend to attempt to use the entire body for even a small action, whereas an external style might isolate movements. Because the entire body is being used to generate force, it can generate much more power than a small group of muscles.

Bruce Lee is one of my martial arts favorite icon. Jeet Kune Do, being his one martial arts discipline,will be my next goal this month. I’ll check the site for reference. Cheers!
